First Reconciliation & First Eucharist

SHFirstCommunion2015-0337Sacred Heart offers immediate preparation for the reception of the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist for children. Sessions are held throughout the year, from September through May, with the reception of the Sacraments celebrated during the winter and spring.

Parent Information Workshops
We ask that parents attend the Parent Orientation that explains the preparation program and serves as a great chance to meet other parents and ask questions. The session will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at 6:00 pm in the Auditorium at the North Campus (3515 N. Florida Ave). The orientation must be attended by at least one parent desiring to enroll their child(ren) for preparation for the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist during the 2016-2017 Catechetical Year.

Sacrament Preparation Workshops
Children are expected to attend various workshops throughout the year, accompanied by at least one parent. Workshops are typically held on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at the North Campus. Attendance at all workshops is expected for this parish and family based experience of faith.
