Sacred Heart offers a non-traditional approach to assist parents in forming the faith of their children. “Family Faith Formation” is exactly what it says – families sharing and growing in faith. This process consists of:
- Gathering together in a large group setting via Zoom for opening prayer and introduction of the theme, and then breaking into smaller breakout rooms led by a volunteer catechist.
- Reflecting on the Sunday Scripture, including participating in a variety of learning techniques to engage all of the members of the family, such as “Liturgy Jeopardy,” crafts, Bible Bingo, faith sharing, and more.
Sessions are bi-weekly, September through April – from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm or Sunday mornings 10:30 am to 11:30 am.
Volunteers are needed in all sorts of roles:
- Office staff, Administrative and more
If you love working with children and admire their eagerness, curiosity, and playful spirit, and you love sharing your faith with others, our Faith Formation ministries might just be for you.
