Sacramental Preparation

News and Notes

  • Sacramental Preparation sessions are held in person at the North Campus. Parents and children participate together.

A key part of living out our Catholic faith is already being active in worship, participating  in ministry and programs, and being a contributing member of the local community – the place where you belong. Participation in the Sacraments of the Church builds upon those various activities of discipleship.

For our already registered, belonging families and households, Sacred Heart offers preparation for the reception of the Sacraments of Initiation for children: Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist as well as the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

  • Not already registered and active in the parish – and seeking to celebrate one of the Sacraments? If you live within our parish boundaries, please contact our Director of Faith Formation to begin the process for registration with the parish.
  • If you live outside our parish boundaries and seeking to celebrate one of the Sacraments, we strongly encourage you to contact the parish closest to where you live, sink your roots in the faith community of your neighborhood, and live out the blessings of your faith.

That being said, we invite you to explore our Sacramental Preparation programs below and contact us if you are interested in enrolling your child or children.

Please note: The Diocese of St. Petersburg requires at least two years of consecutive Faith Formation, whether in a Catholic parochial school or parish Faith Formation program, prior to the celebration of the Sacraments.
