Sacred Heart Young Adults

Sacred Heart Young Adults is a peer-led fellowship of 18-36 year old members of the Catholic community in Downtown Tampa. Members participate in regularly-scheduled events coming together for:

  • faith-based discussions
  • volunteer opportunities
  • connections to other YA groups across the diocese
  • connections to other parish ministries
  • social gatherings

Looking to grow in your faith, meet new people, and engage with our downtown community? Then Sacred Heart Young Adults is for you!

  • Time Commitment:  As your schedule allows. The group host many different social or faith-based events and volunteer opportunities at various venues.
  • Approach: SHYA members will regularly meet in a small group setting, with larger events planned for all members throughout the year, be it alongside other parish ministries, or parochial/diocesan YA groups.

Small groups have begun meeting! Be sure to sign up for a small group here!

Weekly Rosary in October | As we begin the celebration of the Month of the Holy Rosary, the Sacred Heart Young Families group is hosting an online Contemplative Rosary via Zoom on Wednesdays at 7 p..m. this October. The Contemplative Rosary is based on the teachings of St. John Paul II and St. Teresa on Avila on how we can pray the Rosary to contemplate the face of Christ through the eyes of His mother Mary. The Rosary will include short Gospel readings after each Mystery to aid deeper reflection on the life of Our Lord. We invite everyone to join! For those who wish to take part, click here!
