Moving to GiveCentral Online Giving

First things first – THANK YOU! – for giving online! What a blessing online giving has been for the parish over these last few months. Of course, as luck would have it, we began our move from OSV (where you are currently giving) to a new platform with GiveCentral just before the beginning of the pandemic. But most people have moved over. We think it is a better user experience, and we already know the “behind the scenes” management and reporting features are way superior – and!! – it reduced our system costs by 40%.

We are asking if you would be so good to (a) set up your online donations with GiveCentral and (b) cancel your giving with OSV.

Follow these 10 Easy Steps to Set Up Your Account.  We also have a short video you can access below that leads you through the process.

Step 1: Visit our Sacred Heart portal on GiveCentral.org.
Step 2: Click on the “Offertory” fund.
Step 3: Fill out your donation amount, first payment date, and frequency of gift.
Step 4: Click “Add to my Gift Basket.”
Step 5: You can click “Add More Gifts” if you’d like to donate to additional funds, or you can click “Continue” to checkout and complete the registration process.
Step 6: Since you don’t have an existing account, click on “Complete My Profile.”
Step 7: Fill in your information, choose your login name and password, and enter your payment information.
Step 8: Once complete, click “Register and Confirm Gift”
Step 9: That’s it! Your new account is created.
Step 10: Don’t forget to visit OSV.com to cancel your existing account and remove payment method!

Cancelling your online giving with OSV
(Our Sunday Visitor: https://www.osvonlinegiving.com/276)

  1. Log into your account.
  2. Select each one of your gifts (e.g. Sunday Offertory, $25/week) and cancel the gift. The system will ask if you want to “suspend” the gift, but cancellation is the better choice.
  3. Select your method of payment – and also cancel them.
  4. Logout and you are done!

Some folks have reported that cancelling was not entirely intuitive for them, so we have also included a document with some screen shots that should be helpful.
