February 17th is Ash Wednesday, and per the Congregation for Divine Worship, the distribution of ashes will be a little different this year in order to maintain the utmost safety for parishioners. Instead of the typical mark upon the forehead, ashes will be sprinkled on the crown of our heads. Sacred Heart will offer the distribution of ashes in a number of ways.
Distribution of Ashes Only:
– 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm (Church & North Campus) – reservations are not required
Mass with Distribution of Ashes:
– 7:00 am (Church) – reservations required
– 12:10 pm (Church & Livestream) – reservations not required; seating on a first-come, first served basis*
– 7:00 pm (Church) – reservations required
*For those who are not able to be seated at the 12:10 pm Mass, ashes will be distributed in front of the church following the liturgy.
