Adult Confirmation

The Sacred Heart Adult Confirmation process is designed for adults who are active in their Catholic faith, are baptized, and have received the sacrament of First Eucharist, but for various reasons were not able to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation. Active adults are registered, practicing Catholics who are familiar with Catholic prayers and practices and attend Mass regularly.

Adult Confirmation is offered in both the spring and fall of each year. Sessions focus on a re-introduction and re-familiarization of all of the Catholic sacraments with special emphasis on the Sacrament of Confirmation, as well as topics such as the Church and living a sacramental and moral life.

After the process is complete, the Sacrament of Confirmation is conferred at one of the Masses in the church.

We will gather for two sessions to review the Sacraments and the Mass on Sunday, September 27, and Sunday, October 4, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the St. Clare Room (second floor of the parish office). The celebration of Confirmation will be Saturday, October 17, at the 5:30 p.m. Mass.

Requirements
Prior to the first session, we would ask you to do the following:

  • Secure a copy of your baptismal certificate.
