Holy Day of Obligation: Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary
The Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is this Thursday, August 15th, and is a Holy Day of Obligation. On this day, we celebrate that when Mary’s earthly life was complete, she was taken body and soul into heave. Please come to honor our Blessed Mother. Read more here.
Sacred Heart will celebrate the Solemnity with Masses at 7:00 am, 12:10 pm, and 7:00 pm.
Children’s Liturgy of the Word: Starts August 18th
Our Children’s Liturgy of the Word program (CLOW) begins again on Sunday, August 18th. If your child or children are between the ages of 5 through 5th grade, we invite them to attend CLOW during the 9:00 am Mass. They will be invited to come forward during the Liturgy of the Word and head upstairs to participate in listening to the Sunday readings in an age-appropriate context. They will return to their families afterwards for the remainder of the Mass.
